India gifts vehicles on its Republic Day

India has gifted forty ambulances and eight buses to various hospitals and organisations in Nepal on the occasion of its 67th Republic Day.
The vehicles were gifted amid a special programme was organised at Indian embassy premises in Kathmandu. Thirty-three ambulances and six buses were given during the programme. Other vehicles were gifted by the Birgunj-based Consulate General of India to the organisations under its consular jurisdiction.
To mark the day, Indian Ambassador Rae also hoisted the Indian national flag at the embassy and read out the message from Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.
